...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR NORTHEASTERN LA SALLE COUNTY... At 1249 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rainfall had moved out of the area. Up to 3 inches of rainfall occurred due to earlier thunderstorms near Earlville and Ottawa. Some streams will likely continue to rise over the next few hours, and standing water may be slow to recede in some areas. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas.
