Northwestern Washington County in southeastern Texas... * Until 845 AM CDT. * At 443 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... College Station, Bryan, Somerville, Snook, Kurten, Wixon Valley, Millican, Kyle Field, Lake Somerville Dam, Wellborn and Lyons.

At 349 AM CDT, Burleson County Sheriff's Dispatch reported significant flash flooding continuing across much of the county. Five cars have been stranded. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
